A machine-readable list of every dataset is at https://itsshowlow.com/data/catalog.json. The same events, grouped by town and month, are on the events calendar.
What Is Inside
One row per event date. A weekend festival is one row; a weekly market is one row for each date.
| Column | What it holds |
|---|---|
| event | Name of the event, as the organizer writes it. |
| lane | Our category: community, arts-theater, markets, outdoors, music, sports, festivals-fairs or holiday-seasonal. |
| city | Town or venue town. |
| area | One of our six White Mountains areas. |
| venue | Venue name and street address where the organizer gives one. |
| start | First day, ISO date (YYYY-MM-DD). |
| end | Last day, ISO date. Equal to start for a one-day event. |
| hours | Hours for that day as posted. Blank when none are posted. |
| price | Admission as posted. "See event site" means the organizer posts no price we could confirm; it is not a free event. |
| organizer | Who runs the event. |
| notes | Short facts from the organizer's page (age limits, phone, which nights). |
| source_url | The organizer's own page for the event. The date was read there. |
| checked | The day we read that page. |

Keep the checked date next to any figure you copy, and send readers to the organizer’s page (the source_url column) for the live date and price.
How It Is Made
We read each organizer’s own calendar or event page, copy the date, hours, venue and price exactly as posted, and write down the day we read it. Where a source posts nothing, the field says so instead of a guess. Research and drafting use AI-assisted tools; every figure is then checked against the source page. Full method: editorial standards. Re-checks are logged on the verification log.
Known Limits
- 49 of 70 rows have no confirmed price. The price column says “See event site” there. Do not read that as free; check the organizer’s page before you go.
- Only 5 of our six areas have dated rows right now. White Mountain Lake and Springerville, Eagar & Greer have no confirmed dated rows yet. That reflects what organizers have posted so far, not a claim that nothing happens there; most summer 2027 dates are not posted. See what happens every year.
- Weekly events (markets, library programs) get one row per date, so rows are larger than events: 70 rows for 48 different events.
- Dates and hours change. The checked date on each row is the day we read the organizer’s page; confirm there before you travel.
- Routine library story times and similar drop-in programs are left out (22 rows held back, with a reason for each). Events on tribal land are listed only where the tribe or organizer publishes them.
- This is a local, volunteer-sized guide. It is not a complete list of everything that happens in the White Mountains, and nothing here is endorsed by the organizers.
